Last summer holiday, I went to Sanya with my parents. It was an unforgettable trip filled with sunshine, beaches, and palm trees.
As soon as we arrived at Sanya Phoenix International Airport, the warm and humid air greeted us, carrying the unique smell of the sea. We took a taxi to our hotel, which was located near the beach. The moment I saw the vast blue sea and the golden sand stretching as far as the eye could see, I was deeply attracted.
On the first day, we went to Yalong Bay. The water there was so clear that we could see colorful fish swimming around in the coral reefs. We put on snorkeling gear and dived into the water. I first visited Yalong Bay, renowned for its crystal - clear waters and soft, white sandy beaches. The sea was a breathtaking shade of blue, merging with the sky on the horizon. One of the days, we took a boat to Wuzhizhou Island. The journey on the clear blue sea was exhilarating. When we reached the island, we were greeted by a paradise - like landscape. The island was surrounded by coral reefs, and the water was so clear that we could see colorful fish swimming beneath the surface. We went snorkeling and got up close with the marine life. It was an amazing experience to be part of this underwater world.
Back on the mainland, we visited the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area. The famous stones inscribed with "Tianya" and "Haijiao" were iconic landmarks. Standing there, looking out at the vast ocean, I felt a sense of the boundless expanse of nature. It was a moment that made me realize how small we are in the grand scheme of things.

The entire city of Sanya was laid out before me, with its beautiful beaches, blue - green sea, and modern buildings. It was a sight to behold, especially at sunset when the sky was painted in hues of orange and pink.
The beach was where I spent most of my time. I tried various water sports, like jet - skiing and windsurfing. Jet - skiing was an adrenaline - pumping experience as I sped across the waves. Windsurfing, on the other hand, required balance and skill, but it was incredibly rewarding when I managed to glide smoothly on the water.
At night, I strolled along the beach, feeling the soft sand between my toes. The stars above were shining brightly, and the sound of the waves was like a lullaby. I also visited some local restaurants and tried their unique dishes, such as Hainanese chicken rice, which was cooked to perfection.
