a great change is now taking place in higher education throughout our country. teachers are being held responsible as never before for how well they serve their students. it has become as common in colleges and universities for students to grade teachers as for teachers to grade students. in some universities students' rating has even become the only source of information on teaching effectiveness.
this, however, has caused great controversy. some are in favor of the rating system. they hold that since students attend the teachers classes everyday, they should have their opinion about their teachers' effectiveness. others, on the contrary, are strongly against it. they think that students' rating is easy to administer and score, but it also is easy to abuse. they believe that there is much more to teaching than what is shown on students' rating forms. students should not be epected to judge whether the materials used are up to date or how well the teacher knows about the subject.these judgments require professional knowledge, which is best left for the teachers' colleagues.
i think students' rating of their teachers is necessary, but it should be conducted in a way that can really shed meaningful light on teachers' performance. instead of rating the teachers' knowledge on the subject, students should be asked to estimate what they themselves have leaned in a course, and to report on such things as a teacher's ability to communicate with students, his relationship with students, and his ability to arouse interest in the subject.

下面我們以下面的題目為例,來講解觀點(diǎn)對(duì)比型文章的寫法。

大家都知道,英語教學(xué)的最終目的是發(fā)展學(xué)生的英語語言技能,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生良好的英語交際能力。而語言技能是構(gòu)成語言交際能力的重要組成部分,它包括聽、說、讀、寫四個(gè)方面的技能以及這四種技能的綜合運(yùn)用能力。聽和讀是理解的技能,說和寫是表達(dá)的技能;這四種技能在語言學(xué)習(xí)和交際中相輔相成,相互促進(jìn)。目前小學(xué)英語教學(xué)極其重視“聽、說、讀”的訓(xùn)練,每學(xué)期很多地方還組織了學(xué)生進(jìn)行各種形式的口語考試,卻往往忽視了“寫”的教學(xué)。在外語學(xué)習(xí)技能中,“寫”對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)者的要求是最高的,而要在小學(xué)階段教學(xué)生這一技能難度也就更高,畢竟很多小學(xué)生自己的母語寫作還沒學(xué)好,要再學(xué)習(xí)另一種語言的寫作可謂是難上加難。作為一名高年級(jí)英語教師,這兩年來我也嘗試了英語寫作教學(xué),并取得了一定的成效,下面談?wù)勎业淖龇ā?/p>
一. 單詞積累。一篇作文,脫不了是由單詞---句子----段落等要素所組成的,單詞是一篇作文最基礎(chǔ)的部分,過分強(qiáng)調(diào)它是不妥,但卻也不能忽略。強(qiáng)大的單詞積累是寫好一篇作文的后盾。所以,不管在課堂上,還是在課后,都要強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)生掌握好單詞的拼寫和單詞的.運(yùn)用。
二. 抓好課本教學(xué),夯實(shí)英語基矗在小學(xué),學(xué)生的主要學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)間是課堂學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)間。學(xué)生的主要知識(shí)來源于課本,課本是學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的根本。課本給學(xué)生提供基本的句型,語法知識(shí),詞匯等。所以,對(duì)于課本中的內(nèi)容,可適當(dāng)要求學(xué)生背誦,小學(xué)生善于模仿,通過背誦課文,一些句子就會(huì)在學(xué)生心中生根發(fā)芽,學(xué)生就會(huì)有意無意地模仿這樣的句子進(jìn)行寫作。課文中的句子一般來說是很規(guī)范的,學(xué)生的寫作也會(huì)較規(guī)范。記憶中的課文也是學(xué)生寫作時(shí)句子處理的依據(jù)。憑語感和課文結(jié)構(gòu),利用個(gè)人的智慧和對(duì)作文題目及要求的理解,學(xué)生會(huì)寫出語法正確,句意通順,結(jié)構(gòu)嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)規(guī)范的作文
三. 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生廣泛閱讀,積累、豐富寫作素材,拓展學(xué)生的知識(shí)面。古人云“讀書破萬卷,下筆如有神” , 閱讀是寫作的基礎(chǔ),大量的、廣泛的閱讀,才能加強(qiáng)學(xué)生理解和吸收書面信息的能力,有助于鞏固和擴(kuò)大學(xué)生詞匯量,增強(qiáng)語感,豐富學(xué)生的語言知識(shí),了解英語國(guó)家的文化背景。實(shí)踐證明,學(xué)生平時(shí)課外閱讀面越寬,語言實(shí)踐量越大,運(yùn)用英語表達(dá)自己的能力就越強(qiáng)。通過日積月累的積累,學(xué)生在自然的習(xí)得中學(xué)得大量了的英語單詞、句子,形成較好的語感。為學(xué)生更好地寫作打下了堅(jiān)實(shí)的基矗但在選擇課外閱讀材料時(shí),還要注意:文章太易,不利于知識(shí)的提高,文章太難會(huì)挫傷學(xué)生閱讀英語的積極性,作文指導(dǎo)《小學(xué)英語作文教學(xué)》。難易適中的文章指生詞率不超過10%的文章。

很多小學(xué)生都喜歡寫日記,用日記來記錄他們成長(zhǎng)的足跡。如果學(xué)生能用英語來寫日記,更能提高他們學(xué)習(xí)的主動(dòng)性。所以,從寫一句話日記開始訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的寫作是一個(gè)不錯(cuò)的方法。那么如何寫好一句話日記呢?可以從以下兩點(diǎn)告訴學(xué)生:第一、寫什么。(寫一寫你看到或聽到的人、事、景。) 二、怎么寫。(寫出人物在做什么或景物是怎么樣的。) 告訴學(xué)生只要能把這兩點(diǎn)寫出來,也就可以寫好一句話日記拉。以下是兩篇學(xué)生所寫的一句話日子。雖然簡(jiǎn)單,但對(duì)于剛開始學(xué)習(xí)寫作的學(xué)生來說,是一個(gè)很好的開頭。

看圖寫作也是訓(xùn)練學(xué)生寫作能力的有效辦法。它的長(zhǎng)處是在寫作過程中可以增加圖片與英語思維、表達(dá)的直接聯(lián)系,減少對(duì)中文的依賴。為了使學(xué)生更多地參與寫作教學(xué),激發(fā)他們對(duì)寫作的興趣,看圖寫作的圖畫可發(fā)動(dòng)學(xué)生在報(bào)刊雜志網(wǎng)絡(luò)上挑選他們喜愛與適合他們水平的圖畫或照片,帶到課堂上使用。實(shí)踐證明,學(xué)生提供的圖畫生動(dòng)多樣,大大激發(fā)了他們的寫作興趣。
4. 命題作文。
