　　To witness immoral behavior in public, one need only visit the Beijing subway. I still remember the first time I took the Beijing subway. It was an early morning. I was in a hurry to go to school. With an eye on practical implementation and cost effectiveness , I propose that society make it clear in every way that people who fail to respect the common good will be seriously punished. Stricter policies for this should be made to correct this phenomenon as soon as possible.

　　In the first place I think the biggest one is that Chinese parents held the view that their children should follow their orders absolutely while Western parents pay attention to build up the children's sense of self-determination and the ability of self-thinking. Secondly the Chinese parents think that they know better about their children's needs. What's exactly differs form this the Western parents hope their kids to select their own habits and personalities. 　　Many people wonder what to do when they visit other countries. Some people think it is best for them to adopt the local customs. However, other people think it is best to follow the customs of their own countries. This is not an easy question to answer but in this essay we will look at this issue.

　　Some things that visitors may do are immoral or even illegal according to the customs of the local country. For example, in certain countries it is considered bad to show affection in public like men and women kissing or holding hands. It may also be very bad for women to wear revealing clothing such as a short skirt or see-through blouse. In these countries it may also be illegal to drink alcohol.

　　Adopting to the local customs can show respect. Wearing a suit and tie can show respect if that is what the people of the country wear at a meeting or formal event. Men will take their hat off or women will cover their heads to show respect when entering a ‘holy’ place.

　　However, people in many countries understand if their visitors don’t follow their local customs or practices. They know their customs may be strange or difficult for foreign visitors to follow. They know foreigners may unknowingly break some of their rules. These people are understanding and forgiving.

　　As we can see, there are many aspects to this question. I feel that visitors should follow the customs of the country if it shows respect to the local people or is required by law.

　　Whenever I watch a Hollywood movie in a cinema or at home, I have to respect their imaginations, technologies and the acting skills of those famous or non-famous actors/actresses. We enjoyed the movie, we had fun, and we had to admit that it was wonderfully done!

　　Yes, I admit that Hollywood movies factories use the most advanced technology in the world to create all kinds of effects, including special computer effects! Either a cartoon world or a castle of the Mid Ages; either an ancient battle field or an alien-living world, they are just able to create it out! They have shown to the world that their imaginations are absolutely unlimited!

　　Compared with those countless Chinese Qing Dynasty serial shows and movies, the Hollywood movies are not restricted within certain topics. They took the risk to break the rules of movie industry and proved they were right!

　　Just take a look at how their imaginations worked these years.

　　First, they were interested in insects. So they made up a story and made it a world popular cartoon movie (The Ants).

　　Then, they found out that people would probably be curious on the dinosaurs lived in Cretaceous period. Nobody actually knew what a dinosaur look like, especially Rex! So, Jurassic Park came out to us, followed by The Lost World. A group of scientists draw the DNA of a dinosaur from its fossil! What a nice try! What a brave, reasonable and scientific thought!

　　When people finally lost their interests in dinosaurs, the creative teams of Hollywood turned their lens to the outer space of the earth. The Star Wars series came to the world right in time! Can you recall how many Hollywood movies about the universe you have seen these years? I can’t!

　　Soon, they fed up with the universe and jumped back into the vast ocean. The U-571, The Deep Blue Sea and Perfect Storm are rather representative of those ocean-related movies! I didn’t know a person could hold his breath for that long before I saw those movies!

　　When history and realities finally lost the attractions, the teams began to tell fair tales, myths and legends. The Ring series, Harry Potter series, The Matrix series… are all so welcome by the world that people can’t help thinking: What’s next?

　　Since they’ve gotten the movies involved into Legends, myths, ancient dynasties, WW2 events, modern lives, universe stories, animals, insects, vampires, demons…etc. What attraction can they bring to us next? And when? Let’s wait and see!

It could be better if you not let us even met each other at the first place!!! 　　In spite of the flood disaster, a good harvest is still in sight.

　　Yesterday we went to a nearby village to help the peasants get in the crops. We left our school early in the morning. It took us half an hour to reach the village. As soon as we got there, we joined the peasants in their harvesting work. They taught us how to cut rice, and how to tie it. It was in the fields that we had our lunch. 　　Saturday, May 26 Windy

　　Saturday again. How time flies! Another week has gone.

　　This afternoon, I was often absent-minded in class, for I was thinking of the film "The Sound of Music", which would be shown at 7 p.m. on the school playground. As soon as class was over, I hurried out of the classroom.

　　On the way home I saw a little child standing by the roadside crying. Obviously, he had lost his way. Forgetting all about the film, I went up to him and asked him to tell me whatever he knew about his family. It took me nearly an hour to send him home. His parents were very glad to find their lost child back and thanked me again and again.

　　I missed the film. But I felt happy.

　　Air Around Us

　　Air is around us. We can not see it, smell it, or taste it. But we can feel the wind blow. We can see the wind move waves on the water, clouds in the sky, and tree branches. Wind is moving air.

　　Without air we could not breathe. There could be no living plants or animals. Because sound travels through air, without air there would be silence. The movement of air can support a large, heavy plane.

　　Air is a mixture of gases and water vapor. The most important gases in the air are nitrogen and oxygen. 78 percent of the air is made up of nitrogen, and about 21 percent of oxygen. Almost all living things use the oxygen in air. Fire cannot burn without oxygen.

　　Time Is More Valuable Than Money

　　People often say, "Time is money," But in fact time is more valuable than money. Why? Because when money is spent, we can earn it back. However, when time is lost, it will never return. This is the reason why we must value time.

　　The time we have is limited. Every second is precious. We should make full use of our time. But there are a lot of people who do not know the importance of time. They kill away their time chatting, smoking, drinking or gambling, They do not realize that wasting time is simply wasting their valuable life.

　　In a word, we should get into the good habit of saving time. Do not leave what can be done today until tomorrow. Laziness will not only bring us failure but also lead us to the road of poverty.

　　A piano player

　　What do I want to do when I’m older? Someone wants to be a doctor. Someone wants to be a basketball player because they are good at sport. Someone wants to be a writer and to make the writing. Someone wants to be a teacher because they like teaching children.

　　I like playing the piano and I good at it. So I want to become a piano player. Play the piano is very interesting. And you can learn something of music. Piano can make you like music. A lot of musician and singer are love playing piano.

　　I play the piano when I’m ten years old. Now I’m in grand five. I hope when I’m sixteen years old , I can become grand eight. I’ll be harder and harder to practise.
